Ooredoo was the first mobile service provider in Oman to provide Data Roaming Service (also called GPRS Roaming) in all the GCC countries, UK, France, Japan, Turkey, Tunisia, Hong Kong, Serbia and Montenegro. Today Ooredoo data roaming services are available in many more countries.
GPRS is a wireless data service that connects you to Internet, WAP and emails through your mobile phone. Shahry postpaid and Mousbak prepaid customers can send / receive emails, download files or simply browse the Internet from their mobile phone, PDA or a laptop with a Ooredoo Internet USB Modem while roaming abroad.
There are no additional settings or subscription charges for Data Roaming.
Ooredoo Internet Tariffs do not apply if you are using the Data Roaming service outside Oman. You will be charged as per the visited operator’s Data Roaming fee and service charge (mark-up).
Please note that Data Roaming is not currently available in Ooredoo Extended Coverage areas in Oman.
As of today, Ooredoo offers 587 Data Roaming partners in 171 countries for Ooredoo Shahry customers.
