As part of its commitment to empowering the Sultanate’s next generation through education, Ooredoo has released some key updates on the Oman Digital Tutorial App. The latest enhancements to visual and audio programmes for all age groups include English language courses and IELTS tests to help students prepare for university, as well as programming courses for job seekers. The App will also offer, in the 2019-2020 academic year, digital tutorials for kindergarten and preschool levels, which have been designed to help parents develop their childrens’ skills.

Launched in May 2018, the Oman Digital Tutorial App has seen great success and today benefits over 222,114 individuals globally. It has earned a 4.4 rating on the Google Play store and 4.3 in the Apple Store with a total of 43 million views worldwide.

Raed Mohammed Dawood, Director of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs at Ooredoo, said: “At Ooredoo we are committed to giving back and investing in the growth of the local the community, and this app is one of the many ways in which we do so. Education is vital in shaping the leaders of tomorrow and we are doing our part to provide young people with the skills they need to succeed. We have added various English and IELTS courses to prepare and give students a head-start for the upcoming year.”

This digital initiative falls under Ooredoo’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme, Ooredoo Goodwill, which aims to invest in individuals of all ages and provide them with a free and easy-to-use learning tool. The app includes training courses on web design, HTML, cultural curricula and specialised topics for grades 1 to 12. Users are also able to take advantage of sessions on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and self-development classes offered by instructors, teachers and psychologists from the Sultanate and the Middle East.
