Muscat, Oman

Continuing to build its relationship with the community, Ooredoo is joining the food-inspired fun at Muscat Eat 3 as official telecom partner. The third season of Oman’s annual food festival will be its biggest ever, introducing brand new themes and events that are sure to attract a record number of local and international visitors. Running on three weekends over November and December in the gardens of Al Mouj Golf, festival-goers will be spoilt for choice with a line-up of the best eateries on Oman’s up-and-coming food scene.

With a particular focus on promoting Oman’s burgeoning SoHo and SME food businesses, visitors will also be able to meet several incubators from Ooredoo’s CSR programme.

Feras bin Abdullah Al Shaikh, Consumer Director at Ooredoo said, “Apart from being one of the most fun and most anticipated events on Oman’s winter calendar, Muscat Eat is playing a really important role for the community by supporting SME’s and entrepreneurs. It serves as an ideal opportunity to build on our CSR work with entrepreneurs, as our incubators gain increased exposure, interact face-to-face with customers, and come across potential new opportunities.”

The inaugural weekend, from the 14 – 16 November, is themed “Flavour Oman” and alongside Oman’s most mouthwatering delicacies, will showcase the best of Omani culture with a range of traditional performances and activities. The second weekend, from the 28 – 30 November, is “Harat Muscat Eat”, the largest gathering of Oman’s food trucks presenting an array of colourful cuisines, alongside live music, games, and a classic car and bike show. The final weekend, from the 5 – 7 December, will feature over 100 food stalls and a variety of entertainment options for the whole family to enjoy.

Members of the Ooredoo family are also on hand to meet and greet customers, supply recharge cards to ensure users can surf the internet, chat and share pictures online with friends and family throughout the event.

Built around the idea of creating a common platform for people who have a passion for food, Muscat Eat provides visitors with a taste of the country’s culinary diversity. With fresh samples from eateries to bites of homemade foods, the festival is a celebration of local talent and an immersive experience for visitors, bringing them face to face with the food they love and the people who make it.
