As the nation combats the pandemic together, the Ooredoo Oman family has raised over OMR 20,000 to help the Sultanate navigate these turbulent times. The funds will be donated to the Ministry of Health, to source medical equipment and necessary supplies. The internal initiative by Ooredoo, in support of the Supreme Committee for Dealing with COVID-19 directives, is also meant to ensure those who are affected are well looked after and are able to receive adequate medical care.

Amaal Al Lawati, Chief People Officer at Ooredoo, said, “Oman and the rest of the world are facing exceptional challenges and adapting to a new way of living and working. This donation is an example of how we at Ooredoo care for our community and how we can support the medical teams who are working tirelessly to keep us all safe. The rate at which the virus is spreading necessitates mobilisation of all possible help in order for us to flatten the curve.”

As the fight to end the pandemic continues, the company has added exciting new features to its award-winning app, so that customers can stay safe and stay home with Ooredoo. This includes a number of promotions such as unlimited national calls, extra data and internet speeds, and even SIM card home deliveries and reactivations.
