Ooredoo recently celebrated the 9th wave of graduates completing
SpringForward, the telco’s digital leadership and entrepreneurship programme. The graduation event became a time-honoured tradition for young Omani professionals looking to boost their careers by successfully leveraging Ooredoo’s training opportunities. The three-month SpringForward training courses upskill participants so they can thrive in the digital world and successfully set up their own business.

“By providing short yet intensive training courses for professional development like SpringForward, Ooredoo aims to inspire the next generation of Oman’s digital entrepreneurs and industry leaders. the programme allows many women and men from across different sectors with the opportunity to benefit from excellence in coaching and to expand, further develop or gain new skills, including digital, entrepreneurial and teamwork,” said Khawla Khalifa Al Amri, Chief People Officer at Ooredoo Oman and guest of honour during the recently held graduation event.

This year, the SpringForward graduates included Omani women and men working for Takaful Sohar Charity, Al Musannah Charity Team, Al Noor Association for the Blind, Nidaa Charity Team, Otaxi, Ihsan Association, Oman Diabetes Association, Childcare Centre, Al Rahma Association for Motherhood and Child Welfare and the Oman Association for Persons with Disabilities and the Ataa Saham charitable team. They delivered group-based projects with a real-world impact, including the ‘Natural Feed World’ project, the ‘Happiness Garden’ project, and the ‘Natural Omani Honey’ project.

Since the launch of the SpringForward programme in 2018, following the success of Springboard, an educational programme for women, Ooredoo has provided training opportunities to at least 7,000 Oman women and men working in the Government and private sector. Aligning with the transformation of Oman into a knowledge-based economy and fully digital society, the SpringForward programme enables participants to leverage their existing talent and efficiently contribute to the national economy while achieving a healthier work-life balance at the same time.
