Continuing to set standards for operational excellence, Ooredoo recently achieved ISO 31000:2018 standards compliance, in their annual surveillance audit for operational risk management. Accomplished by the company’s Technology – Network Operation and Governance department, it positions Ooredoo as the first telecoms service provider in the Sultanate and wider GCC, to gain and maintain the internationally-recognised accreditation. The ISO 31000:2018 is the latest in a string of qualifications Ooredoo has received, as it continues to strive for the highest industry standards while delivering an enhanced customer service.

Ahmed Abdullah Al Abri, Chief Technology & Information Officer at Ooredoo, said, “This certification is a credit to Ooredoo’s dedicated efforts in upholding best practices and renews our focus on ensuring that risk management is fully integrated at all levels of the organisation. By adhering to such guidelines, we not only work better, but ultimately, create more value and assurances for our customers.”

ISO is an independent, non-government international organisation which brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market relevant International Standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges. Ooredoo also holds a number of other ISO certifications for Quality Management System Surveillance, Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management and more, as it constantly challenges itself to raise standards across all levels of its operations.
